Sam’s Club Christmas Hours 2026 for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Sam’s Club Christmas hours for 2026 are simple. Clubs close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, and stay closed on Christmas Day.
Plus members can shop from 8 a.m. on Christmas Eve, and Club members from 9 a.m. Saturday, December 26, is a normal day.

These hours come from Sam’s Club’s holiday schedule, which lists Christmas among the four days clubs close every year.
December 26 isn’t on that list, so the regular schedule applies. Like Thanksgiving, Christmas is a full closure rather than a short day.
Two hours less on Christmas Eve
Sam’s Club confirmed the early close when it laid out its holiday hours in an October 2025 announcement.
By my math, Christmas Eve gives Club members 9 hours to shop instead of the usual 11, and Plus members 10 instead of 12. The morning stays the same, and the cut comes off the evening.
That’s the part that catches last-minute shoppers. Anyone planning a 7 p.m. run for wrapping paper or a party tray will find the doors already locked.
Pickup, delivery and the pharmacy
Curbside Pickup is free for every member, but book Christmas Eve slots well before the 6 p.m. close. Sam’s Club holds an order for up to 24 hours, and that hold can’t carry an order into Christmas Day, when the club is closed.
Delivery doesn’t fill the gap. Sam’s Club’s delivery terms say it runs every day except certain federal holidays, and Christmas Day is one of them.
For a forgotten item on Christmas Eve itself, Express delivery costs $10 for Plus members and $22 for Club members, with no order minimum. Order early in the day, because the club that fills it closes at 6 p.m.
Sam’s Club doesn’t post separate holiday hours for its fuel centers, so fill up on Christmas Eve rather than counting on Christmas Day.
Refill prescriptions before Christmas Eve. Sam’s Club’s pharmacy pages warn that holiday hours may vary, and most pharmacies already close earlier than the club.
The phone line closes too. Sam’s Club’s contact center, normally open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Central, is closed on Christmas Day.
Cakes and party trays for Christmas Eve
Custom cakes need a day’s notice. Sam’s Club’s cake listings promise next-day pickup for orders placed by 2 p.m., so a Christmas Eve cake has to be ordered by 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23. You can also order up to 30 days ahead, which is the safer move for a holiday week.
Custom cakes are pickup only, from the bakery counter inside the club. Ready-made trays need no order at all. An 84-count cookie tray cost $19.93 at one Dallas club, and the bakery’s other prices run from $3.82 bagels to $57.98 two-tier cakes.
Returning Christmas gifts
Gifts follow the normal Sam’s Club return policy. Most items can come back at any time, electronics and major appliances within 90 days, and cell phones within 14 days.
The phone window is the one to watch. A phone bought on December 20 has to go back by January 3, and Christmas Day and New Year’s Day both fall inside those two weeks.
Keep the box, manuals and any promotional gift card that came with an electronics gift, since missing pieces can turn a full refund into a partial one.
New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
New Year’s Eve, Thursday, December 31, runs full hours, from 8 a.m. for Plus members and 9 a.m. for Club members until 8 p.m. There’s no early close the way there is on Christmas Eve.
New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1, 2027, is a full closure, and the contact center is closed that day as well. Saturday, January 2, goes back to the regular schedule.
After that, the next day Sam’s Club closes is Easter Sunday, March 28, 2027.
