Sam’s Club Pizza Price for a Whole Pie and a Slice

The Sam’s Club pizza price is $8.98 for a whole 16-inch pie from the Cafe. That gets you five big slices of cheese, pepperoni or four meat, while a single slice costs about $1.98.
The whole pie has cost $8.98 since at least 2023, right through the 2026 membership fee increase. The slice is the price that moved.
Pizza prices at Sam’s Club
| Pizza | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Cafe whole pizza, 16 inches | $8.98 | 5 slices, cheese, pepperoni or four meat |
| Cafe slice | About $1.98 | A fifth of a whole pie |
| Artisan pepperoni, take and bake | $6.94 | Serves about 2 to 3 |
| Artisan Margherita, 12 inches, take and bake | $7.94 | Serves about 2 to 3 |
| Rising crust pepperoni, frozen 3-pack | $16.44 | About $5.48 a pizza |
The whole pizza, the take and bake pies and the frozen 3-pack are samsclub.com prices at a Dallas club, and each listing notes that prices may vary in club and online. The slice isn’t sold online, so its price comes from recent coverage of the Cafe menu board.
Sam’s Club doesn’t treat $8.98 as a local price, either. It used the number in the headline when it launched pizza delivery nationwide in May 2025.

Five slices to a pie
The Cafe pizza listing says each pie is cut into 5 slices. That sounds stingy until you work out the size of each one.
- A 16-inch pizza is about 201 square inches, so each Sam’s Club slice is about 40 square inches.
- The same pie cut the usual eight ways would give slices of about 25 square inches.
- An 18-inch Costco pie cut into 12 slices works out to about 21 square inches a slice.
By my math, one Sam’s Club slice is close to two ordinary ones. Plan on one or two slices a person, not the three you might order elsewhere.
Buying the whole pie saves a little over slices. Five slices at $1.98 come to $9.90, so the $8.98 pie is 92 cents cheaper, about $1.80 a slice. The $1.12 “each” figure under the price on samsclub.com divides $8.98 by eight, so ignore it.
What a square inch costs
Measured by area, the whole Cafe pie costs about 4.5 cents a square inch, and a slice bought alone about 4.9 cents.

The take and bake Margherita costs about 7 cents a square inch, more than half again as much as the Cafe pie. You’re paying for fresh mozzarella and pesto and for eating it straight from your own oven.
Costco’s 18-inch pie is the cheapest pizza here by area, at about 3.9 cents. The two prices are so close that the membership you already have should decide where you buy it.
The slice price climbed
Mashed priced a Sam’s Club slice at $1.89 in August 2023, when the whole pie already cost $8.98. By June 2025, Chowhound found the slice one cent under Costco’s $1.99, which puts it at $1.98.
That’s a 9-cent rise on the slice while the pie stayed put, which makes the whole pizza a slightly better deal than it used to be.
Cafe flavors and ordering
The Cafe makes three pizzas. The four meat version tops the pepperoni pie with spicy Italian sausage, bacon crumbles and ham, and Sam’s Club says the dough is started fresh every morning.
- Order in the club at the Cafe counter, or in the Sam’s Club app with Scan & Go while you shop.
- Add a whole pizza to a Curbside Pickup or delivery order. The listing allows 4 pizzas per order.
- Pizzas are ready when the Cafe opens at 10 a.m., and the Cafe serves every member until 8 p.m.
Don’t ask for half and half. The Daily Meal reported in October 2026 that Sam’s Club doesn’t offer split toppings, and that pizzas are usually made ahead at the start of a shift.
You don’t strictly need a membership for a slice. GOBankingRates noted in 2025 that the Sam’s Club food court is still open to everyone, though ordering in the app takes an active membership.
Delivery works, but fees can cost as much as the pizza on a small order. The Sam’s Club Cafe menu breaks down what the rest of the counter costs.
Take and bake and frozen pizza
Sam’s Club also sells two artisan take and bake pizzas, made in the club daily, that bake at home in 10 to 12 minutes. Both serve about 2 to 3 people, according to their listings.

The 12-inch Margherita has fresh mozzarella, roasted cherry tomatoes and pesto, and it’s gotten cheaper. Southern Living reported a $10.94 price when it returned in June 2025, and the Dallas listing now shows $7.94, though pickup and delivery showed as unavailable when I checked.
The artisan pepperoni costs $6.94 but carries a 2.8-star rating from 90 reviews, well below the Cafe pizza’s 3.8 stars and the Margherita’s 4.0.
For the freezer, the Member’s Mark Rising Crust Pepperoni 3-pack costs $16.44, about $5.48 a pizza. The Daily Meal listed a $12.98 regular price in Los Angeles-area clubs in February 2025, so check your own club before you stock up.
Against Costco and the chains
On taste, one head-to-head test went to Sam’s Club. Chowhound’s 2025 comparison picked the Sam’s Club pizza over Costco’s on every measure it scored.

Against the pizza chains, $8.98 holds up well. GOBankingRates, citing a Delish price study in February 2025, put a large Little Caesars Hot-N-Ready under $7 and a large Domino’s pizza at $14.99, and called the Sam’s Club pie the largest in the study.
For a party of 20, plan on about 30 to 40 slices, or six to eight Cafe pizzas at $54 to $72. The 4-pizza limit means two orders, and the Sam’s Club party trays can fill out the table for less than another round of pies.
